Location Kapiti Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service Contract Permanent, Full Time (1 FTE), 40 hours per week About the role Provide high‑quality mental health assessment, intervention and education to infants, children, youth and their families; ensuring the service user and their family’s needs are met in a culturally, clinically and legally safe manner. The psychologist functions as part of a multidisciplinary team. About the team / Service location Join our small, supportive Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service team in sunny Kāpiti, where we work closely with NGOs, schools and the wider community to make a real difference for tamariki and rangatahi. The service utilises the Choice and Partnership Approach (CAPA) to deliver efficient, accessible services for tamariki, rangatahi and their whanau. About you Registered clinical psychologist with current registration in New Zealand Good sense of humour and team spirit Experience working with children, adolescents and their whānau in a mental‑health setting Strong assessment, risk‑management and therapeutic intervention skills Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and alongside community partners Willingness to work full time Excellent written and verbal communication skills Cultural competency and commitment to partnership with Māori and Pacific communities Understanding and commitment to the CAPA model Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is the weaving of wellness.
