Process Operator

We are looking for multiskilled individuals to be part of a highly automated, cutting‑edge facility producing engineered timber products. This is an advanced manufacturing environment with state‑of‑the‑art automation, robotics, and control systems. You could be a Dual Trade / Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer or a Process Operator / Process Technician. This is a great chance to join a growing company at the forefront of advanced manufacturing as they move to 24/7 production. This is a 12‑hour rotating shift pattern of 4 days / 3 nights, averaging 42 hours a week. The Role You will play a key role in operating, maintaining, and continuously improving an advanced production process. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain a fully automated production line Troubleshoot and repair machine centres, minimising downtime Conduct quality control checks and ensure compliance with production standards Perform routine maintenance and engage in preventative maintenance to optimise plant performance Diagnose and repair faults in PLC‑controlled systems and automated production lines Be flexible to attend callouts outside normal shift hours when required Work collaboratively in a high‑performance, skilled workforce – no general machine operators here! Ideal Experience Trade, Degree, or Diploma – open to a range of Electrical, Mechanical, Dual Trade, Operator backgrounds Must be able to identify process improvements Must be capable of BOTH operating and maintaining machinery Experience in industrial maintenance, automation, or advanced continuous manufacturing Experienced with automated production machinery Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills What’s in It for You?
