Te āheinga: The opportunity Join Unitec Pathways College in a key coordination role supporting both on-campus vocational pathway delivery and schools and community engagement. Sitting at the centre of a collaborative, cross-functional team, you will enable the smooth delivery of programmes through high-quality administration, financial coordination, event support, and student-focused processes. Your work will ensure consistent, accurate, and timely operations that contribute to a positive and well-supported learner experience. This role is essential in managing high-volume, time-sensitive activities, including enrolments, reporting, and pastoral care coordination, while maintaining robust systems and compliance standards. You will also play a critical part in financial processing, HR coordination, and maintaining accurate records, helping the wider team stay focused on delivering meaningful outcomes for learners, schools, and communities. This is an opportunity for someone who values collaboration, precision, and continuous improvement in a purpose-driven education environment. This is a permanent, part-time position working 30 hours per week. Please refer to the Position Description for further information about the role. You’ll have: An understanding or desire to learn te reo Māori, tikanga Māori, and the values and practices of kaupapa Māori Evidence of active engagement in building diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces/environments Demonstrated experience in coordination, administration, or operations, ideally within education, training, or youth-focused environments Strong organisational capability with the ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive work, prioritise effectively, and deliver with accuracy and attention to detail Experience supporting financial and administrative processes, including purchase orders, invoicing, budget tracking, and maintaining reliable records and systems Confident using digital tools and systems (e.g. Microsoft Office and student or finance platforms) to ensure data integrity, compliance, and timely reporting Proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, schools, and community stakeholders through clear, professional communication Experience supporting events, programme delivery, or outreach activities, including logistics coordination and stakeholder engagement Ability to contribute to student-focused operations, including enrolments, reporting, and pastoral care or wellbeing support A collaborative and proactive approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and delivering positive outcomes for learners and communities Experience or familiarity with tertiary education or secondary school pathway programmes is advantageous, as is exposure to systems such as PeopleSoft or similar platforms Why you’ll love working with us Manukau Institute of Technology and Unitec is committed to learning with purpose and creating futures for our learners and communities.
