Position Summary Part time 0.5FTE, fixed term until April 2027. This role is based at North Shore Hospital, Waitematā District. Remuneration Remuneration as per PSA Allied Health Collective Agreement. Role Overview We have an exciting opportunity to work in a new collaborative role between Counties Manukau and Waitematā Districts, as part of establishing a relatively new inpatient Hand Therapy service in Waitematā. The role is based at North Shore Hospital, where hand surgeons work closely with hand therapists to provide expert clinical care. Working with another Advanced Clinician, your workload will cover a wide variety of hand and upper limb conditions, with the majority of your caseload being post‑operative, acute and trauma‑related adult cases. Clinical Leadership Responsibilities As an Advanced Clinician you will hold a clinical leadership role in the service with a focus on service development, research and evaluation, teaching and mentoring, quality and risk, and addressing health equity. Work Environment Whilst based at North Shore Hospital you will be employed by Counties Manukau and have the opportunity to practice in a specialised environment with direct access to other experienced, registered hand therapists at Counties Manukau District and alongside the existing very experienced Hand Therapist. Our team has a well‑established tutorial and in‑service programme which promotes continuous learning, and you will be supported by on‑site professional leaders at Waitematā. Essential Requirements Current registration with the New Zealand Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Board and a current Annual Practising Certificate. Minimum of six (6) years post‑graduate experience with 3–4 years experience in the area of speciality. Full registered member of Hand Therapy New Zealand. Full, clean drivers licence.
