Based at Whakatāne Hospital. Fixed-term, part-time position. Must be available for weekends, public holidays and night shifts when rostered. We are currently seeking a highly experienced administrator/ Customer service superstar to join the Emergency Department at Whakatāne Hospital. We have a fixed term, part-time position available working 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week) from September 2026 to September 2027 to cover parental leave. The role requires you to work a 24/7 roster which can include weekends, public holidays and night shifts. About the Team/Service/ Location The Emergency Department is the gateway into the hospital and usually the start of a patient’s experiences in the hospital. The successful applicant will be responsible for the provision of high quality, accurate administration and customer service support to patients, families, health professionals and all other external and internal customers. The Emergency Department administrators are an integral part of our clinical team supporting the service to achieve best practice acute care standards, quality care and performance outcomes.
