About the Role: Working 80 hours per fortnight To be successful in this key role you will mentor and inspire our team of support staff. Your day may include supporting people to plan day‑to‑day tasks, attending activities in the community, personal cares, or medication administration. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the home, ensuring the needs of others are met by maintaining a high standard of service, working in an all‑male resident home. Your excellent communication skills and leadership capability will enable you to encourage your team to be successful in their role, providing them with the support and assistance that they need. Week one: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - 6:45am-3.15pm Week two: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 6:45am-3:15pm We're Looking for Someone With: A Passion for Tāngata/People: Be patient, friendly, and kind, with the ability to understand, communicate, and genuinely connect with people. Empathy & Understanding: An understanding of Enabling Good Lives principles. Leadership & Initiative: Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and reliability, with the confidence to take initiative, and foster a positive, collaborative environment. Practical Skills: The ability to carry out personal cares, including showering and dressing. Driver Licence: A Full NZ Driver Licence is essential, as driving a MASH van will be part of your role. Previous Experience: 5 yearsprevious experience working within health sector and leading a team preferred Relevant Qualification: A NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing - Level 4 preferred.
