Log Truck Driver – Working In (Northland, NZ) This full-time onsite position offers opportunities for career growth and is permanent, with a minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week Monday–Friday, and weekend work available. About the Role You will be based in Northland. You will operate vehicles and provide transport solutions and freight. Responsibilities Drive your assigned vehicle to the locations instructed by the dispatcher safely. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules. Document and log work/rest periods and kilometres spent driving, and retain fuel/toll receipts. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as company policies and procedures. Manoeuvre trucks into loading or unloading positions. Collect and verify delivery instructions. Report defects, accidents or violations. Adhere to health and safety regulations. Assist with any other tasks as and when required. Qualifications At least 2 years of relevant and verifiable experience. An experienced Class4 or 5 driver’s licence, or equivalent. Flexibility to meet the demands of the operation, including shift work and nights away from home. Clean driving records and capable of operating a digger and a Hiab‑equipped truck. A dedication to health and safety in the workplace. A proven track record in safety compliance. Ability to pass a workplace medical exam, including drug and alcohol testing.
