This role sits at the heart of our Canterbury operations. You’ll be the link between our project teams and the people affected by our work – making sure communities, property owners, councils and clients are kept informed, listened to, and supported throughout. If you’re someone who can juggle multiple priorities, handle tricky conversations with confidence, and genuinely cares about customer experience, this could be a great fit. Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver stakeholder engagement and communication plans Be the trusted point of contract for stakeholders, ensuring clear, consistent communication Build strong, lasting relationships with councils, clients, and community groups Partner closely with delivery teams to minimise disruption and embed stakeholder considerations into planning Manager condition surveys, reinstatement activities, and property related matters end to end Anticipate risks, resolve issues early, and keep projects moving forward Protect project outcomes while maintaining positive community relationships Contribute to a shared 24/7 contact line (on rotation) Be available for occasional after-hours work and travel as required Provide stakeholder and client feedback to delivery teams to support continuous improvement Assist with capture planning and tender development to support future opportunities Identify and lead community engagement initiatives that strengthen local connections Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills You’re someone who enjoys working with people and knows how to build trust quickly. You’re calm under pressure, solution focused, and comfortable managing competing demands without losing sight of the bigger picture. You’ll also bring: Experience in stakeholder engagement, communications, or community liaison Strong interpersonal skills – able to build trust and handle difficult conversations Clear, confident written and verbal communication Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands Experience in infrastructure, construction, transport or similar environments Familiarity with councils or working alongside public sector clients #J-18808-Ljbffr
