As a Product Design Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the design and user experience of IDEXX’s veterinary software platforms. Based in our Auckland innovation hub, you will lead design initiatives while remaining hands‑on, collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams to deliver intuitive, user-centered solutions that make a meaningful impact. The Veterinary Software division is building a vertical SaaS platform for animal health, delivering solutions that support veterinary practices across practice management, diagnostics, payments, client engagement, and analytics. You will be part of a growing Product organisation focused on creating seamless, scalable experiences for users across our ecosystem. In this role: Lead the design of user‑centered solutions across our veterinary software platforms Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers to prioritise, design, and deliver impactful features Create well‑considered design plans and bring solutions to life through strong UX and UI practices Conduct user research and apply insights to improve customer experience across the product suite Develop interactive prototypes and design concepts to validate ideas and solutions Design and document user interface components and design patterns to ensure consistency across platforms Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to deeply understand workflows and user needs Lead user testing initiatives and incorporate feedback to continuously improve designs Mentor and support other designers, providing guidance, feedback, and leadership within the design team Contribute to building a strong design culture and elevate design standards across the organisation Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to align design direction with business and technical goals Why this role matters: This role is critical in ensuring our software delivers intuitive, efficient, and meaningful experiences for veterinary professionals.
