Machine Operator

Machine Operator We’re partnering with a well-established NZ manufacturer to recruit a Machine Operator for their Ashburton team, producing plastic packaging for the food industry. This is a hands‑on, technical role where you’ll be right in the mix – supporting production, improving processes, and helping ensure everything runs efficiently day to day. About the Role Working as part of a close‑knit production team, you’ll be responsible for setting, maintaining, and optimising machinery, while ensuring quality and safety standards are consistently met. This is a busy, practical role where you’ll be involved in: Setting and optimising plastics processing machinery Carrying out mould and tool changes, including full line changeovers Monitoring and adjusting production to maximise efficiency and quality Troubleshooting faults and minimising downtime Completing routine maintenance and supporting plant performance Working closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and cleanliness About you You’ll enjoy being hands‑on, take pride in your work, and be someone who can stay organised and focused in a fast‑paced environment.
