About the opportunity We’re looking for someone to join the team at our Tupo store working 40 hours per week. Responsibilities Providing retail sales and customer service to our shareholders Advising customers on a range of sheep and beef, dry stock and general agricultural products Operating a point of sale (POS) system Completing administrative tasks such as ordering and receipting of stock Restocking and displaying our products About you Experience or background in the farming sector, with an interest in sheep and beef, dry stock and general agricultural products Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of customers Retail sales or customer service experience, ideally in a fast‑paced environment Sound computer skills, with confidence using point‑of‑sale systems and basic administrative tools The ability to carry out the physical requirements of the role, including regular manual handling and lifting and carrying items up to 25 kg (e.g. bags of stock such as dog food and farm supplies) Bonus points if you also have A valid forklift licence A current first aid certificate Benefits Sick leave from Day 1 Paid birthday leave Access to training through our online library, The Greenhouse Staff discounts at Farmlands Retail Stores Exclusive Farmlands shareholding offer providing access to a vast array of discounts with our Card Partners Additional support for parents Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand. #J-18808-Ljbffr
