Position Title: Academic Staff Member – Civil and Surveying Location: Tauranga, NewZealand Team: Academic Delivery and Development Position Type: Fixed term, 0.4FTE Remuneration: $80,466 – $87,211 (Fixed remuneration excluding KiwiSaver) About the Role This role involves teaching in the NewZealand Diploma in Engineering (Civil strand) programme, supporting students to succeed through engaging, industry‑aligned learning. Responsibilities include classroom teaching, tutor support, learning resource development, assessment, recruitment and wellbeing facilitation. Key Responsibilities Deliver the Land Surveying course within the Civil Programme. Lead student management, providing timely and accurate advice and support. Use existing resources to implement student assessment, advise, and course materials. Monitor student progress and results, and provide support as required. Promote and apply ToiOhomai health and safety policies. Qualifications and Experience National qualification in Surveying or Civil Engineering (Level6 or above) or a minimum of five (5) years of industry experience. In‑depth knowledge of the NewZealand Engineering and Surveying industry. Relevant regulatory memberships required for the role. Good computer literacy skills.
