About the role ESG Reporting & Assurance brings this to life by providing subject‑matter expertise on sustainability reporting to help clients protect and strengthen sustainability-critical business reporting across all dimensions of performance, strategy and risk. Work closely with client and engagement teams reporting under frameworks such as Aotearoa New Zealand Climate Standards and Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards, using GHG Protocol and PCAF measurement standards. Provide subject‑matter expertise while supporting the delivery of limited and reasonable assurance engagements of clients’ sustainability reports in accordance with International Auditing Standards (ISAE (NZ) 3000/3410) and ISSA (NZ) 5000. Build strong relationships with clients and our global community of PwC subject‑matter experts. Stay ahead of reporting trends and challenges, working with experts, clients and auditors to solve complex reporting problems and identify pragmatic solutions. Skills you will bring or develop 3+ years of work experience in a large, global auditing firm or a consulting firm focused on greenhouse gas emissions under the GHG Protocol or other sustainability reporting/assurance frameworks. A strong interest and willingness to develop sustainability reporting knowledge and experience as an industry expert. A relevant Bachelor’s qualification in accounting, sustainability or a closely‑related subject. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to work on technical and complex matters independently while applying judgment to find solutions where answers are not always clear.
