Job Description
About the Role The Community Clinic (Midwife/Nurse Led Clinic) is looking for a Registered Nurse to join its small, specialist and cohesive team in providing sexual and reproductive health care. The role aims to ensure equity and access, enabling the further development of skills necessary for best practice sexual and reproductive health/clinical care delivered in relational, culturally-sensitive, and appropriate ways. The successful applicant will have skills and experience in contraception, immunisation, STI screening and treatment, and cervical screening. The role also involves supporting people across the gender diversity spectrum, women experiencing first trimester loss, and women seeking termination of pregnancy. Services are free of charge and are available Monday to Friday with appointments booked or walk-in, with minimal wait times. Position Description Registered Nurse About you Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth (mandatory) Experience in projects or initiatives that give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings (mandatory) Current NewZealand registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (see RN Job Description) Current eligibility to work in NewZealand Committed to completing training in Narrative Therapy, a postgraduate counselling programme run through the University of Waikato Equity, Diversity and Inclusion We want to see the real you in your application and welcome the real you on board if you come and work with us.
