Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 12/10/2026, End Date: 24/09/2027 (Maternity Leave) Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher The arts We are seeking an enthusiastic teacher of visual art (please state your specialist area(s) in your application) with the ability to teach NCEA Level 2 and 3 programmes. This position is covering maternity leave. A successful candidate will demonstrate: Expertise in visual art, with the ability to teach NCEA Level 2 and 3 A passion for fostering creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression Experience and ability to work with and support Māori and Pacific ākonga A commitment to collaborative teaching and learning across curriculum areas The ability to build strong relationships with ākonga, whānau, and colleagues A commitment to the development of literacy and numeracy within a subject context A developing understanding of mātauranga Māori and its relevance in visual arts education A desire to honour obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi All members of our teaching staff also serve as learning advisors, supporting students in their academic and personal growth.
