At Heartland, we're looking for a curious and motivated graduate or early‑career professional to join our Information Security team in our Digital Transformation business unit. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience at the intersection of technology, cyber security, risk management and banking while working alongside experienced professionals in a modern digital environment. Responsibilities As a Technology Risk Analyst, you’ll help identify, assess and manage technology and cyber security risks that support the safe delivery of critical banking services across Heartland. Qualifications Recent graduate or early‑career professional who enjoys analysing information, solving problems and learning how technology supports business outcomes. Strong communication skills and acute attention to detail. Degree in one of the following areas: Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) – Cybersecurity Engineering Bachelor of Commerce – Major in Information Systems Bachelor of Business – Information Systems Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) – Software Engineering / Computer Science One to three years of professional experience through employment, internships, placements or graduate programmes. Exposure to banking, financial services, cyber security, audit, risk or compliance environments. Understanding of technology governance and risk management principles. Experience preparing reports, presentations or governance documentation. Technical Knowledge (desirable) Risk & Governance, including risk assessments, control design and effectiveness. Third‑party risk management, operational risk management, and software supply chain risk. Information Security concepts such as Identity and Access Management (IAM), Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA), Privileged Access Management (PAM) and vulnerability management. Secure software development principles. Cloud computing – Microsoft Azure and M365. Windows and Linux operating systems, enterprise networking, and DevSecOps concepts. Data & Reporting, including Excel, Power BI and data analysis for risk reporting. Desirable Certifications Entry‑Level ISC2 CC or Security+. ITIL Foundation (Version 4 or later).
