Job Description

Not everyone is built for this role. Some people love routine, predictable days, and a to-do list that stays exactly as planned. This role is not that. If you thrive under pressure, enjoy a challenge, and get satisfaction from solving puzzles in real-time, keep reading. About Us Symons Group is a family-owned Taranaki business providing a wide range of transport and warehousing services. We operate across critical sectors, including the oil and gas industry and bulk liquids transport. We are renowned for keeping smiles on our customers' faces through a customer-first focus, world-class equipment, and a highly skilled team. The Role As a Logistics Coordinator supporting our Bulk Liquid Transport team, you will be at the centre of a fast-moving operation. You will work closely with drivers, customers, and the wider operations team to keep bulk liquids moving safely and efficiently across the network. When things are running smoothly, you will help keep them that way. When they are not, you will be the person finding the solution. What We Are Looking For Pressure handling: Stays calm and makes good decisions when things get busy. Rapid responsiveness: Reacts quickly when plans change and priorities shift. Problem solving: Loves puzzles and finding practical, out-of-the-box solutions. Organisation: Exceptional administration skills with outstanding attention to detail. Tech savvy: Confident using multiple systems and quick to learn new technologies. Communication: Builds strong relationships with people from all walks of life. Let's Be Upfront This is a high-pressure, demanding role with many moving parts. Some days will test your patience, resilience, and problem-solving ability. Hours can be long, particularly during peak operational periods. Saturday work forms part of this role. Flexibility is essential because transport rarely runs to a strict script. What's In It For You? A genuinely challenging and rewarding role where no two days are the same. A supportive, close-knit team that always backs each other up. The opportunity to make a real impact on a critical Kiwi operation. A competitive remuneration package reflecting the responsibility of the role. A workplace where initiative, effort, and ownership are genuinely valued. How to Apply If you see a problem and think "Right, let's figure this out" rather than "That's someone else's problem", we want to hear from you. Please apply online with your CV and a cover letter telling us why you are built for this challenge. Applicants must have valid NZ residency or work visa status to be considered. #J-18808-Ljbffr
