About the role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Furniture Upholsterer to join a skilled manufacturing team. This is a hands‑on role focused on upholstering commercial furniture to a high standard, working with a range of materials. You will be involved in the full upholstery process, from preparation through to final finishing, ensuring each piece meets quality and design specifications. Key Responsibilities Upholster commercial furniture including seating, panels, and modular components Cut, sew, and fit fabrics, leather, and other materials Prepare frames, padding, foams, and fillings Interpret drawings and upholstery specifications Ensure high‑quality finishes and consistency across products Use hand tools, sewing machines, and upholstery equipment safely Maintain a clean and organised workspace Work collaboratively with designers, makers, and production staff What We're Looking For Previous experience in furniture upholstery or a related trade Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good time management and ability to meet production deadlines Experience working with commercial furniture (advantageous but not essential) What's On Offer Competitive pay based on experience Stable, full‑time work with a respected NZ furniture manufacturer Supportive team environment and modern workshop Opportunity to work on innovative, design‑led furniture projects #J-18808-Ljbffr
