Job Description
Overview Senior Artificial Intelligence Developer to design and deliver AI‑enabled tools that support engineering and technical teams across Beca. This hands‑on role suits someone comfortable building and deploying production‑grade software while developing and applying machine learning models, ready to broaden scope, take on more responsibility, and step into a senior delivery role. Responsibilities Bridge the gap between experimentation and implementation by embedding AI concepts into robust, maintainable software systems. Build end‑to‑end solutions, from data handling and model development through to integration, deployment and lifecycle management. Iterate on high‑value use cases in document intelligence, engineering automation, computer vision, AI‑augmented verification and compliance support. Operate in a highly agile environment, adopting a fail‑fast, iterative approach across multiple projects. Collaborate with engineering business users, digital specialists, and data teams to transform use cases into scalable, production‑ready solutions. Translate complex machine learning and engineering concepts into clear, usable outcomes for technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Qualifications 5–7 years of experience in artificial intelligence and software development, with a strong foundation to design end‑to‑end AI solutions. Comfortable across the full lifecycle: model development, production‑grade software integration, deployment and continuous improvement. Hands‑on experience with applied AI techniques such as LLM application development, prompt engineering, structured outputs and document parsing; exposure to computer vision or domain‑specific data is a plus. Strong programming skills and software engineering practices, including version control, testing, cloud environments and CI/CD. Consulting mindset—collaborative, curious, outcome‑focused; effective in working with business users, technical specialists and stakeholders. Motivated to learn and apply AI ethically, securely and in ways that deliver meaningful outcomes for clients, communities and the built environment. Benefits Professional development opportunities. A supportive and caring work environment where you can bring your whole self to work. Support with relocation and immigration for suitable applicants.
