Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced anaesthetic technician to join our friendly, experienced and dynamic theatre team. You will provide skilled clinical and technical assistance to the anaesthetist, ensuring high quality professional and safe care to patients undergoing anaesthesia. This is a full time (1 FTE) position working rostered hours. Our Theatres generally operate Monday to Friday 0700 to 2100 with occasional Saturday roster. Desired Skills and Experience Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Essential skills/experience for the role: In addition to your experience as an Anaesthetic Technician, you must hold a current APC with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand. You will also: Be passionate for and provide high quality perioperative care. Have excellent supportive, engaging and positive team skills Demonstrate sound judgement Demonstrate a commitment to professional practice, and professional and personal development Be an excellent communicator, facilitator and advocate for patients Are adaptable to the changing needs of our department and patient care needs Have a commitment to your ongoing development of anaesthetic skills and professional development Have the initiative and ability to contribute to and support best practice standards.
