Waikato Hospital, Pharmacy Services - Permanent, full time 40 hours per week. Competitive salary + kiwisaver. Overview Join our clinical pharmacy team in a rotational role designed to support pharmacists at all stages of their career, from new graduates or those without hospital experience to advanced rotational practitioners. This role offers hands‑on exposure across a variety of services within a tertiary facility known for high‑quality care in specialties such as medical, surgical, mental health, cardiology, renal, critical care, paediatrics and more. You will rotate through all areas of our pharmacy service, including clinical and ward work, the haematology, oncology, and compounding teams, the quality and safe use of medicines team, and both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy settings. The role includes occasional weekend shifts compensated at overtime rates and occasional on‑call roster participation. About the Service The Te Whatu Ora Waikato Pharmacy Service provides essential pharmacy services to Waikato Hospital and rural hospitals, and offers tertiary advisory and support services to the Te Manawa Taki region. Our team operates an outpatient pharmacy, a robust clinical trials service and a compounding suite, enabling a diverse range of services. Qualifications Essential: Registration with the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand. Essential: Current annual practising certificate with the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand. New graduates and community pharmacists welcome to apply. Desirable: 3+ years of experience as a pharmacist. Desirable: Hospital level experience.
