Job Description

Professor or Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy A rare opportunity to lead and teach within an internationally recognised occupational therapy programme, shaping contemporary research, education, and practice in Aotearoa New Zealand. This is a permanent, full‑time (37.5 hrs/week) role based in Auckland’s North Shore, with flexible lifestyle benefits. Key responsibilities Lead and grow the department’s research portfolio. Build research capacity, mentor staff, establish high‑performing teams, and deliver impactful outputs. Drive collaboration, foster capability, and advocate for consistency and quality in research and development. Extract research from an upcoming Masters of Occupational Therapy. About you Senior occupational therapy academic with research leadership experience. Strong publication record in top‑tier journals. Experience in securing external research funding and building collaborative research partnerships. Substantial undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience. Experience supporting indigenous, equity, or inclusion‑focused initiatives. Qualifications PhD in occupational therapy. Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand. Annual Practising Certificate (or eligibility for certification).
