As a Greenspace Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining parks, reserves, and public spaces to ensure they are safe, functional, and presented to a high standard. This hands‑on role involves operating tractors, ride‑on mowers, and other grounds maintenance equipment to deliver quality mowing and landscaping services across the region. You will take pride in your work, maintain equipment effectively, and help meet contract specifications, timelines, and quality standards. Flexibility is important, as duties may vary and occasional additional hours or travel may be required. About the role The Greenspace Operator is responsible for the daily mowing and maintenance of destination parks and reserves across the region, ensuring all areas are presented to a high standard and are safe, functional, and fit for public use. The role includes, but is not limited to, delivering day‑to‑day operations through the effective and efficient use of tractor and ride‑on mowing plant, as well as associated tools and equipment. The operator is expected to optimise plant utilisation, maintain equipment in good working order, and report any faults or maintenance requirements promptly. The Greenspace Operator plays an important role in building and maintaining strong customer relationships by consistently meeting contract specifications, timeframes, and quality standards. Flexibility is required, as you may be asked to work additional hours or travel away from home from time to time. Key Requirements Mowing, line trimming, edging, weed control, and general vegetation & garden management across a variety of open spaces. Possibility of applying agrichemicals, including herbicides, in accordance with best practice, environmental guidelines, and all relevant health and safety requirements. Strong commitment to QHSE standards, including completing pre‑start checks, adhering to safe operating procedures, identifying and managing risks, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legislative requirements.
