Hōhepa is a disability support service in Hawke's Bay for people with intellectual disabilities. Within our school, we provide a rich, holistic learning environment for children and young people with intellectual disabilities, where education, therapy, and cultural life are interwoven to support the development of body, mind, and spirit. Expressions of Interest – Therapists We are seeking expressions of interest from qualified therapists interested in working with our school in a contractor capacity. We welcome approaches from therapists across a range of disciplines, including: Art Therapy Occupational Therapy Speech and Language Therapy Other complementary or specialist therapists aligned to our kaupapa This is an opportunity to contribute to a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, working closely with educators, support staff, whānau, and the wider Hōhepa community. Contract therapists at Hōhepa School will: Deliver individual and small group therapeutic support tailored to each learner Contribute to student development plans in collaboration with the wider team Support communication, wellbeing, sensory integration, and functional skills development Engage in a holistic, relationship‑based model of care and education Incorporate creative, strengths‑based, and developmentally appropriate approaches Work in a way that supports inclusion, dignity, and participation in community life About you: Hold relevant professional qualifications and registration (where applicable) Have experience working with children and young people with diverse learning or developmental needs Are confident working independently while contributing to a team environment Bring a creative, flexible, and person‑centred approach Align with Hōhepa’s values of respect, collaboration, and community #J-18808-Ljbffr
