Job Description
Role Overview The Health New Zealand Domestic Job Copy Template Administrator joins the Assessment & Brief Care Team within Mental Health & Addictions Services at Taranaki Base Hospital, New Plymouth. This 0.8 FTE permanent role (32 hrs per week) supports clinicians with administrative assistance and clinical typing to improve service efficiency. The Administrator also covers leave for other administrative positions across Mental Health & Addiction Services. A comprehensive orientation process will familiarise you with our service and the wider mental health sector in Taranaki. Qualifications Excellent customer service and communication skills under pressure and flexibility. Strong medical typing skills with the ability to quickly and accurately produce clinical letters and meeting minutes. Proficient IT skills, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook). Experience learning and navigating IT‑based systems, preferably in a health care setting. Significant general office‑based skills and experience. Sound knowledge of Equity principles, a commitment to bi‑culturalism and demonstrable application of TeTiriti o Waitangi obligations.
