Job Description

About the Role Working on a range of commercial and industrial projects including hospitals, schools, and large-scale buildings, you’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of mechanical piping systems across busy sites. Key Responsibilities Reading and interpreting plans and drawings Measuring, cutting, fabricating, and installing PVC and copper pipe Completing leak-free connections including copper brazing, threading, and grooving Installing and maintaining mechanical piping systems Testing systems, fault finding, and repairing leaksAssisting with pipe replacements, upgrades, and insulation Working alongside other trades to meet project timeframes Following all site safety requirements What’s in it for you? Competitive pay rates – $28 – $33 per hour depending on experience Weekly pay Overtime opportunities available Minimum 30 hours guaranteed per week Work available across multiple regions Long-term project work with established contractors Strong pastoral care and support Frequent team and social events Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter in commercial or industrial environments Experience working with Copper pipe and brazing, PVC and steel pipe systems Pipe threading and grooving Ability to confidently read and interpret plans Requirements Full driver’s license and reliable transport Site Safe (advantageous) MEWP ticket (advantageous) Medical Gas ticket highly advantageous Strong work ethic and reliability Candidates with New Zealand citizenship, residency, or valid open work rights will be considered.
