Job Description
Position Summary Building Surveyor – Consultancy. Auckland, New Zealand. Hybrid work, 6‑month fixed‑term contract. Responsibilities Provide high‑quality commercial advice to institutional investors, landlords and corporate occupiers across all asset classes. Assist with technical due diligence, make‑good & dilapidations, CAPEX planning, project monitoring and schedules of condition. Prepare and review building defect audits, pathology reports and construction type diagnostics. Coordinate and support the management of large national projects and clients. Qualifications Degree‑qualified in building surveying with 2–5 years of commercial consultancy experience. Recently MRICS chartered or actively pursuing the RICS APC with the intention to sit the final assessment within the next 6–12 months. Strong understanding of the NZ Building Act and Building Code; proficiency in defect diagnosis, commercial building pathology and general construction types.
