Carterton Playcentre New Zealand (nationwide) Part time, Fixed term, FTTE up to: 0.3, Start Date: 27/07/2026, End Date: 31/08/2026 (Consultation for this role is underway, final decision will be made on 1st July 2026) Early learning / kōhanga reo, Certificated teacher Belonging / Mana Whenua, Contribution / Mana Tangata, Communication / Mana Reo, Exploration / Mana Aotūroa, Well-being / Mana Atua 8.75 hours per week | Part-time | Starting 27 July 2026. Monday 8.45am – 12.45pm Thursday 8.45am – 2.00pm About you You will support parents and caregivers to confidently run sessions, model Playcentre philosophy, and enhance children’s learning, while fostering a strong whānau-led culture by building members’ knowledge, confidence, and leadership. You will also have: passion for Playcentre philosophy and empowering whānau Course 3 of the Playcentre Education Diploma or equivalent ECE Qualification Level 4+ current first aid certificate or willingness to complete confidence using technology to support learning & administration strong knowledge of Te Whāriki, ECE regulations, and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi hold a current First Aid Certificate or be prepared to complete this. NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa About the role The Session Facilitator works alongside our members and tamariki to guide session activities, facilitate learning using child-led play and positive guidance, support planning and assessment for learning and positively support the Playcentre education programme.
