Responsibilities We have a permanent, full‑time opportunity available, with flexible locations across Aotearoa New Zealand. You will be an experienced people leader and serve as Team Leader, ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages). Leading a team of up to six staff, you will oversee the delivery of ESOL‑related advice, support and services to schools and provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders. Qualifications Recent experience working in CALD (Culturally, Linguistically and Diverse) education contexts in Aotearoa New Zealand. Proven team leadership experience. Sound understanding of second language acquisition principles and how they apply across education settings. Understanding of the needs of all CALD students, including ELLs, former refugees, new migrants, and New Zealand‑born migrant background learners. Ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct. Benefits Salary range: $98,056 - $122,570 per annum plus KiwiSaver. Flexible locations across Aotearoa New Zealand. About the Group The ESOL Refugee and Migrant team works collaboratively, combining expertise in community engagement, inclusive pedagogies and practices for former refugees and migrants, and English for Speakers of Other Languages subject matter expertise. About the Education Services Group The Education Services Group provides well‑designed, integrated education services that support the impactful and effective operation of education settings to support student achievement and participation. The group has three key priorities: Practice & Guidance: Managing practice and guidance to improve national coordination and consistency, while enabling regional autonomy for education service delivery. Integration & Delivery: Providing education support directly to education settings via integrated regional and national services, intervening when necessary to ensure a high standard of operation and owning key stakeholder relationships. Monitoring & Improvement: Monitoring and advising on improvements to the effectiveness, efficiency and equity of services for achievement and progression, and attendance and participation, including monitoring education provider performance against regulations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
