We are looking for an inspirational leader with excellent interpersonal skills, innovative educational pedagogy and effective leadership practices. Taranaki Diocesan School for Girls is a state-integrated secondary school situated in the attractive central Taranaki township of Stratford and serves a wide community base that extends throughout the Taranaki region. Our school has two supportive boards, highly qualified and experienced staff, and wonderful students who love to learn and strive for excellence. The successful applicant will: Uphold, enhance and support the Special Anglican Character of our school. Demonstrate a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Te Ao Maori and possess a high degree of cultural competence and responsiveness. Be a NZ registered teacher who is either an experienced or senior leader at their current school Have implemented effective, innovative educational leadership practices Have practical experience in managing and leading change. Be an approachable leader who displays natural warmth, compassion and a sense of humour with students, staff and community. Be inspirational, passionate and able to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships within the school and local community. Be prepared to lead with vision and consistent communication and be prepared to make challenging decisions. Assist in creating a learner‑centred curriculum that excites and engages learners. Work collaboratively with our local schools to benefit the wider school community and its students. Support strong, ongoing pastoral care within our school and boarding hostel.
