Job Description

THE ROLE This is a dynamic and highly trusted role operating at the highest support level of the firm. You will provide executive support to the Managing Partner and Audit Senior Leaders, while also contributing to the smooth operation of BDO Wellington’s governance, strategy and director support functions. No two days will be the same. You will be relied on for your judgement, discretion, initiative and ability to keep senior leaders well supported, well organised and focused on the priorities that matter. Your work will span diary and meeting management, board and governance support, strategic coordination, billing, travel, proposal and tender support, engagement documentation, risk processes and a wide range of firm-wide projects. You will work closely with the Audit Team Administrators, Corporate Services team, Directors and Partners across the firm. This role will suit someone who enjoys being close to the centre of decision‑making, understands the importance of confidentiality and follow‑through, and takes pride in providing polished, proactive and highly professional support. This is more than a traditional EA position. It is an opportunity to work alongside the Directors of the firm and be involved in a broad range of executive, governance and operational activities that support how the firm is led and managed. To Be Successful In This Role You Will Have 3+ years’ EA/PA experience supporting senior leaders, partners, directors or executive teams Highly developed executive support skills, with excellent attention to detail and strong professional judgement Confidence working with confidential information and supporting governance, board or senior leadership processes A proactive, solutions‑focused approach and the ability to anticipate what senior leaders need before they ask Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels of the firm Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively across competing demands The ability to remain calm, organised and professional in a fast‑paced environment with high volumes of work A friendly, approachable manner and a genuine commitment to being part of a collaborative team High proficiency with Microsoft Office, including SharePoint tools, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Initiative, discretion, sound judgement and pride in delivering high‑quality support In Return We offer a workplace like no other in our market, and clients you will love working with.
