Job Description
Overview Join the Grand Mercure Puka Park team as a Guest Experience Host in a dynamic resort setting at Travel + Leisure Co. This full‑time role balances customer service, sales appointment generation, and smooth check‑in support. Responsibilities Generate sales appointments for resort sales centres and livestream sessions Establish rapport with customers to deliver an exceptional experience Assist in the tour generation process to ensure prospects meet the company’s tour qualification specifications Collaborate with resort operations to provide high‑level service and a seamless transition for owners and guests through the check‑in process Clearly articulate the benefits of traveling within the Wyndham Destinations community Meet targets and KPIs set by the business Be available for weekend and public holiday shifts Qualifications Previous experience in a similar hotel role desirable but not essential No formal qualifications required; NZQF Level1 desirable but not required Fluency in English (written and verbal) Genuine passion for customer service and the local area Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills Enthusiastic, self‑motivated, and positive individual Immaculate presentation and professional grooming standards High levels of computer literacy Experience with a PMS system (Opera) advantageous Ability to recognize and solve problems in the workplace Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, public and school holidays Benefits Minimum of 30 hours per week guaranteed $27.86 per hour base rate, plus performance‑based incentives Discounted hotel stays worldwide Subsidised private health insurance (upon successful completion of probation) Professional development funding Monthly, quarterly and yearly recognition programmes EEO Statement Travel + Leisure Co. is an equal opportunity employer, and all applications will be considered for employment without attention to membership in any protected class.
