Our client is a leading manufacturer within New Zealand's infrastructure and construction sector and is seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to join their high‑performing concrete pipe manufacturing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled precast concrete professional who is ready to take the next step into a hands‑on leadership role. Working with modern Dry Cast and Wet Cast technology , you will play a key role in leading a capable production team while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are achieved. You will lead and develop a team of operators to ensure quality output, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement while maintaining a strong safety‑first culture. This role is ideal for someone who has been a leading hand, senior operator, or supervisor within manufacturing, precast concrete, or a similar industrial environment and is looking to further develop their leadership career. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach and support a production team on the factory floor Manage daily production activities to meet output and delivery targets Conduct pre‑pour and post‑pour checks to ensure product quality Ensure all precast concrete products are manufactured to specification and industry standards Read and interpret technical drawings to guide production requirements Allocate daily tasks and manage workflow across the team Order and coordinate ready‑mix concrete deliveries Drive a strong health and safety culture and promote zero‑harm practices Monitor quality, productivity and performance standards Support training, mentoring and capability development of team members Work closely with maintenance, quality and operational teams to improve plant performance Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities What We're Looking For Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory, leading hand or team leader position Background in precast concrete, manufacturing, construction or a similar production environment Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop others Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control systems Ability to read and interpret engineering or technical drawings Strong commitment to health and safety best practices Effective communication and stakeholder management skills Good computer literacy, including MS Office and production‑based systems A proactive attitude and desire to drive operational excellence #J-18808-Ljbffr
