Job Description
Recruitment Advisor – Overview A full‑time, on‑site position at the Office of the Ombudsman in Wellington, New Zealand, designed to cover for parental leave until early February 2027. The role is part of the People Enablement team, providing end‑to‑end recruitment and supporting a diverse recruitment strategy. Responsibilities Provide advice and coaching to hiring managers across all stages of recruitment and selection Lead end‑to‑end recruitment activity: advertising, screening, interview coordination, and offer documentation Act as the primary point of contact for candidates, ensuring a positive and engaging experience Manage and develop the Applicant Tracking System (Springboard) and other recruitment tools Build and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies and external providers Analyse recruitment data and contribute to reporting for the Senior Leadership Team Contribute to process improvement to make recruitment more inclusive and reflective of te ao Māori Qualifications and Experience Experience in an end‑to‑end recruitment role, ideally within the public sector Confidence advising and partnering with managers at all levels Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and interpersonal A genuine commitment to diversity and inclusion in recruitment Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (experience with Springboard is an advantage but not required) A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience Benefits Collaborative, values‑driven team and workplace Flexible working options Competitive remuneration Onsite gym and personal trainer for all employees Three paid office holidays between Christmas and New Year Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Salary range $95,810 – $125,750 EEO Statement All applicants will have a legal entitlement to work in New Zealand.
