Job Description
About the Role The Adult Sleep and Ventilatory Service at Te Toka Tumai provides a multi‑level platform for the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of Sleep Disordered Breathing (SDB) and other sleep‑related disorders. The team, composed of physiologists, nurses and doctors, carries out a wide range of sleep investigations and provides ongoing treatment, management and support to SDB patients. Specialising in Oligophrenia Sleep Apnoea (OSA), Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) and Non‑Invasive Ventilation (NIV), the service collaborates with primary care providers and sleep specialists across Auckland and New Zealand. Responsibilities Independently conduct Level1,3 and4 sleep tests, as well as Multiple Sleep Latency Tests. Initiate and titrate PAP therapy, analyse sleep studies and interpret PAP adherence data. Provide PAP treatment education and ongoing support to patients on PAP therapy. Participate in continuous quality improvement activities within the service. Commit to ongoing professional and clinical development. Qualifications BSc or equivalent in a relevant field. New Zealand Clinical Physiologist Board (CPRB) registration in Sleep and a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC) without conditions preferred – candidates working towards registration are welcome to apply. Minimum of 2 years experience as a Sleep Physiologist in both laboratory and clinical outpatient settings. Willingness to work routine shift hours.
