Reporting to the Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability, your day-to-day tasks would involve: Develop and deliver proactive and reactive external communications, including media releases, stakeholder messaging, and executive communications that protect and enhance Tower’s reputation. Partner with leaders across the business to provide strategic communications advice, manage media inquiries, and support engagement with investors, government, and key external stakeholders. Lead communications planning and response during issues and crisis situations, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent messaging across all external channels. During your time with us, success will look like: Successfully delivering Tower’s external communications strategy, driving positive media coverage and strengthening Tower’s reputation across New Zealand and the Pacific. Building strong relationships with media, government, investor, and industry stakeholders, positioning Tower as a trusted and credible voice in the market. Leading high-quality communications support for key corporate milestones, including financial results, Investor Day, the Annual Report, and shareholder communications. Proactively identifying and managing reputational risks, providing sound communications counsel and supporting effective issues and crisis responses when required. Increasing awareness of Tower’s purpose, strategy, and customer impact through compelling storytelling, thought leadership, awards, sponsorships, and LinkedIn activity. Establishing yourself as a trusted adviser to leaders across the business, delivering strategic communications guidance, building capability, and fostering strong cross-functional partnerships. To thrive in this role, you'll need: 8+ years’ experience in communications, public relations, corporate affairs or a related field. Demonstrated experience delivering media relations, stakeholder communications and reputation management in a complex organisation. Experience providing strategic communications advice to senior leaders and supporting spokespeople through media engagement, external events or high-profile issues. Experience contributing to investor, government or regulatory communications, or working in a listed company, regulated industry or similarly complex environment. Experience working across multiple markets or stakeholder groups; exposure to the Pacific is an advantage. A relevant qualification in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related discipline is preferred Strong experience in external communications, media relations, reputation management and issues or crisis communications. Exceptional communicator with strong writing and editing skills, able to simplify complex information and deliver clear, compelling messages for diverse audiences. Strategic and commercially minded, with strong judgement, a solid understanding of media and communications channels, and the ability to identify and manage reputational risks. Skilled at building trusted relationships and influencing stakeholders, confidently partnering with senior leaders, media, agencies, and external partners in fast-paced and sensitive environments.
