Job Description

As the Dogman/Rigger you'll be providing static crane support, assisting with lifting operations including elevating tools, bins, and construction materials, while also getting involved in general labouring duties on site. This is a hands‑on role requiring someone who is fit, proactive, and willing to pitch in wherever needed to keep the project moving. What you’ll be doing: Slinging and directing loads for a static crane Supporting lifts of tools, bins, and general construction materials Communicating clearly with crane operators using standard signals Assisting with general labouring tasks around the site as required Working as part of a team to keep workflow efficient Maintaining safe work practices at all times What we need from you: Proven experience as a Dogman/Rigger Relevant tickets/qualifications (Dogman, Rigging or NZQA equivalent) Physically fit and willing to undertake hands‑on labouring work Proactive attitude and strong team focus Solid understanding of lifting and load control Commitment to site safety and procedures Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to a 9‑month role What’s in it for you: Ongoing full‑time work for approx. 9 months Competitive hourly rates + weekly pay PPE provided Support from a dedicated AWF team Opportunity to work on a high‑profile local project Before you apply, AWF is committed to keeping our people safe.
