About the Role Join the Psychiatry department as a training or non‑training registrar. Mental Health & Addiction Services Our Mental Health & Addiction Services encompass a range of specialised units and programmes, including: Ace Response Team (ART) Whare Whakaue Inpatient Unit Te Ngako Community Mental Health & Addictions South Lakes Community Mental Health & Addictions Mental Health Services for Older Persons (MHSOP) Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (iCAMHS) Consultation‑Liaison Service Mental Health Triage About the Location Join our dynamic team at Lakes Psychiatry Department, serving a population of 116,000 people. Located within Rotorua Hospital, we provide secondary‑level specialties, with tertiary care available at Waikato Hospital. Lakes is located in the central North Island of NewZealand – Aotearoa. Rotorua is approximately 230 kilometres southeast of Auckland, while Taupō is about 80 kilometres south of Rotorua. Lakes is a geothermal wonderland and is also home to several scenic lakes including Lake Taupō, the largest lake in NewZealand. Rotorua and Taupō are popular for hiking, mountain biking, water sports, and cultural experiences. About you MCNZ registration and or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of NewZealand (check eligibility at www.mcnz.org.nz).
