Senior SQL Database Administrator (Azure)

Overview We’re currently seeking an experienced Senior SQL Database Administrator to join a government client on an initial 3-month contract , with a strong possibility of extension through to December. This is a BAU backfill position supporting critical on-premises and Azure database environments, making it ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and maintaining highly available production systems. Responsibilities Manage and support Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL environments. Troubleshoot database and integration issues across on-premises and cloud platforms. Ensure database stability, security, performance, and availability. Database monitoring, optimization, and account management. Incident response and break-fix support. Software maintenance, patching, and security updates. Support project delivery alongside ICT project teams. Maintain compliance and best practice database operations. Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL . Hands-on experience with: SSIS, ETL, CDC, T-SQL. Nice to Have Logic Apps .NET (C# or VB) JSON XML PowerShell HTML What’s on Offer?
