Job Description
Our team is growing and we are looking for a Junior to Intermediate (2-5 years of experience) OpenText AppWorks (AWF) Developer to design, develop and implement Business Process Management(BPM) solutions that make a real difference for our clients. You will work as part of a collaborative delivery team, contributing hands‑on to the build and testing of OpenText applications, translating business requirements into working technical solutions and supporting integration and data migration initiatives. This role sits within our growing BPM practice and there is genuine opportunity to develop here. You will be supported by experienced OpenText practitioners, have access to structured learning and certification pathways and as the practice grows so does the scope for you to take on more. What You Will Do Day to day, you can expect to: Design, develop and test OpenText AppWorks BPM applications - building process models, user interfaces, rules and integrations that meet client requirements and OpenText AppWorks best practice standards Work closely with business analysts, technical leads and clients to understand requirements and translate them into robust, scalable OpenText solutions Support integration work between OpenText and other enterprise systems, using REST, SOAP and other API patterns Contribute to data migration, security compliance and application deployment activities as part of a wider delivery team Participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to code reviews and support knowledge sharing within the team What We’re Looking For You are an OpenText AppWorks developer with solid hands‑on experience and a genuine interest in growing your capability. Specifically, we are looking for an individual with the following team and technical skills: Team Skills Good communication and problem‑solving skills – able to engage with clients and team members to clarify requirements, work through technical challenges, and estimate effort and time to deliver solutions Design knowledge and the ability to work independently Familiarity with Agile delivery methods and comfortable working as part of a structured project team Experience working with New Zealand or Australian government and/or enterprise clients is advantageous Technical Skills Mandatory Platform / Product: 2-5 years of experience with OpenText AppWorks/Process Suite OpenText AppWorks Admin or Developer certification Knowledge on AppWorks latest versions i.e., version 23+ Proficiency with XML, SOA, Object Orientation, SQL databases, network architecture Programming in Java, JavaScript, Basic Web development Very good knowledge of SOAP, REST web services and related technologies Very good knowledge of Single Sign‑on mechanisms and related standards Desirable Knowledge on Magellan/iHub Reporting is desirable Knowledge on Entity Modelling Knowledge on OTDS, Content Server and other OpenText products Knowledge of web servers, browsers, and other internet applications Not an OpenText AppWorks developer yet? Candidates with strong hands‑on experience in a comparable low‑code, no‑code or BPM platform – such as Pega, OutSystems, ServiceNow or Microsoft Power Apps – are encouraged to apply. Where OpenText AppWorks experience is limited, we are looking for genuine platform depth, a track record of delivering complex workflow solutions and a clear appetite to cross‑train in OpenText.
