About the role Permanent, full‑time position available at the Hawera site Competitive salary ranging from $57,096 to $62,773, depending on experience Responsible for administration needs of Social Work kaimahi, including financial plans, data collection and scheduling Liaise with vendors, casual staff and other stakeholders Work with various cultural groups and people from different backgrounds Book rooms, answer phones and assist at the reception desk Organise welcomes/whakatau for newcomers and whānau Deal with critical scenarios in a calm, professional manner What you will bring Full clean New Zealand driver’s licence (historic convictions considered on a case‑by‑case basis) Support the team with all aspects of Health and Safety Strong computer and IT knowledge Administrative skills such as typing, reporting and responding to site needs Cultural awareness and an understanding of Tikanga Māori principles Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi Strong time management Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt to your audience Understanding and appreciation of cross‑cultural practices, including knowledge of tikanga Māori and Pacific peoples’ culture What's in it for you Oranga Tamariki offers a step‑based remuneration package that progresses annually based on experience and tenure.
