We are looking for an experienced Paediatric New Zealand registered physiotherapist to join our Multidisciplinary Team in the Child Development Service, Te Rito O Rongokako. The Child Development Service provides assessment and therapy to assist children up to 16 years of age with special needs to achieve their full potential in their daily lives. The focus of this role is to provide physiotherapy assessment and intervention for children at risk of, or living with disability. Children under our service have a range of diagnoses including, but not limited to, cerebral palsy, global developmental delay, muscular dystrophy, chromosomal abnormalities and spina bifida. We also provide therapy for children with a neurodevelopmental diagnosis who have had orthopedic intervention, including Botox injections and muscle‑lengthening surgery. We are looking for someone who has the passion for clinical practice within child disability and is capable of working collaboratively both within our service and our community. We work with children in their homes as well as schools, kindergartens, clinics and recreation centres. Our ideal candidate will be able to work flexibly, with a range of professionals to support the tamariki and rangatahi in our service. You will need to have strong communication skills and an ability to work autonomously as well as within both interprofessional and multidisciplinary styles as needed. Essential Requirements At least 4 years relevant clinical experience including paediatrics, neurological rehab and/or community work NZ Registered Physiotherapist with current annual practising certificate (APC).
