About the Role Bay of Plenty Hauora a Toi have a great opportunity for a Health Care Assistant to join our dynamic team in the Acute Medical Ward 4M based at Tauranga hospital. We are offering a permanent part-time position working 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week), ideal for a Health Care Assistant (HCA) looking to deepen their patient care experience in a supportive, high-performing environment. As an HCA on Ward 4M, your day is never routine. You will work under the direction of a highly motivated, friendly and enthusiastic nursing team committed to delivering comprehensive quality care. We offer and support educational opportunities. The role is based at the Tauranga Hospital. Ward 4M is a dynamic Acute Medical Ward at the heart of Tauranga Hospital. We specialise in caring for patients with complex medical conditions ranging from respiratory and cardiac issues to metabolic disorders while simultaneously focusing on early-stage rehabilitation. What We Are Looking For Experience: Ideally, you have a Level 3 or 4 NZQA Health and Wellbeing Certificate (or equivalent). Resilience: The ability to remain calm in an acute medical environment where patient needs can change rapidly. Communication: Fluent English is essential, and a basic understanding of Te Reo Maori or Tikanga Maori is highly valued as we serve a diverse Bay of Plenty community.
