Part time, Fixed term, FTTE up to: 0.1, Start Date: 20/07/2026, End Date: 15/12/2028 (Specialist teacher for ORS-funded student) Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts Coroglen School is a vibrant, rural full-primary school located near Whitianga. We are seeking a passionate, NZ-registered teacher to support a wonderful ORS-funded student until they graduate from primary school. If you are dedicated to inclusive education, creative differentiation, and empowering diverse learners to thrive socially and academically within a supportive, tight-knit community, this role is for you. Key responsibilities include: Curriculum adaptation: Differentiate the New Zealand Curriculum to meet the student's specific learning, communication and physical goals IEP collaboration: Partner with whānau, classroom teachers, and external agencies to co-construct and monitor individual education plans Team guidance: Provide ongoing direction and support to our dedicated teacher aides Inclusion and independence: Foster an environment that champions the student’s presence, participation, and independence in all aspects of school life. You’ll have: A current New Zealand teacher registration and practising certificate A background working with ORS-funded students or a strong, demonstrated commitment to learning support Outstanding interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build strong, culturally responsive relationships with tamariki, whānau and staff A flexible, proactive approach well-suited to a collaborative rural school environment.
