About the Role Senior Solution Architect for the New Zealand Enterprise team at Amazon Web Services, located in Auckland, NZ. Full‑time on‑site. This role provides opportunities for career growth and focuses on helping NZ enterprises realize the potential of Agentic AI by designing scalable, flexible, and resilient solutions. Responsibilities Work directly with customers to accelerate their business outcomes and recommend best‑practice cloud and AI architectures aligned with long‑term business needs. Drive technical solution discussions and dive deep into details to solve complex technical problems, crafting scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures. Scope and own customer engagements, ensuring clear objectives and success criteria. Define and execute strategy by engaging highly technical teams such as Solutions Architects, Technical Account Managers, AWS professional services consultants, and consulting/managed services partners. Act as a thought leader, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers and blogs, and running workshops. Share the voice of the customer to influence the roadmap of new features and services for the AWS platform. Proactively work within the organization to influence the evolution of the platform. Basic Qualifications 8+ years in technology domain areas such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics. 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures. 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries. Preferred Qualifications Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud. Experience architecting or operating solutions built on AWS. Knowledge of cloud architecture. Experience using Generative AI and Agentic AI technologies.
