Automation Engineer

Leading supplier of automated production machinery requires experienced Automation Engineer to join their team With a focus on complex production machinery, high speed precision robotics and automation systems, they are a sought after industrial solutions supplier to the dairy, food, manufacturing and timber industries. The role encompasses automation programming, engineering design, installation, commissioning and product support of high speed motion control systems and robotics. You may be involved in projects from concept all the way through to on-site commissioning and user training, or at different stages, depending on the size, scale and nature of the job. To be considered you will have varied project experience from small to large scale and from concept right up to fully commissioned production plants. Examples of applications include: packaging machines, pick and place robotics, food/material handling machines, wrapping machines, and product sorting. To be considered for the role you will: be a tertiary qualified (automation, electrical, mechatronics or similar) engineer possess a minimum of 5 years' controls and automation NZ experience in the industrial and manufacturing sector have expertise with Allen Bradley PLCs, Schneider and Allan Bradley HMI/SCADA systems be an accomplished Automation Engineer that can design, programme and install complex automated and robotics systems with demonstrable experience to support this possess strong interpersonal skills to deal with clients, contractors and suppliers be an intelligent problem solver that can think on their feet to identify and fix problems and issues.
