About the Hotel Crowne Plaza Queenstown is located on the shores of Lake Wakatipu in the heart of New Zealand's South Island. Our 4.5 star hotel is looking for a Duty Manager to join our friendly and professional team. Day‑to‑Day Provide guests with information on our hotel and local information or arranging transportation, ensuring a seamless experience. Complete welcoming and accurate check‑in/check‑out experiences. Monitor the sale & supply of alcohol. Ensure guest requests/complaints are dealt with in a timely manner by coordinating with other departments. Improve hotel service based on guest reviews and take pride in your workplace. Provide excellent leadership to team members, including training, rostering, coaching, and recruitment under guidance of the Front Office Manager. Oversee, make and manage hotel bookings and reservations. Manage crisis situations such as earthquakes, fires, bomb threats and viral outbreaks. Be educated on our IHG One Rewards program and strive for loyalty metrics. Motivate team members and empower them to handle guest issues. What You'll Need Able to work 40 hours per week on a rotating roster – morning, afternoon, evening and occasional night shift, including public holidays and weekends.
