Student Chemical and Process Engineer

At Aurecon, we offer a 12‑week paid summer Internship Program for students studying Chemical or Process Engineering. The program is based in Auckland and Christchurch and gives interns hands‑on exposure to technical and advisory work, structured development, and access to industry experts. Program Highlights Full‑time work from mid‑November 2026 to February 2027 (with a two‑week break over Christmas and NewYear). Placement in either the Energy & Industrial team (supporting dairy, manufacturing, fuel infrastructure and renewable energy) or the Land & Water team (developing water and wastewater treatment solutions). Participation in the Intern Learning Series, Leadership Series, and networking events such as Limelight. Opportunity to explore career pathways within Aurecon, including progression to the Graduate Program. Experience As an Intern The internship gives you the chance to contribute to real projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the Asia Pacific, and apply classroom knowledge to industry challenges. What you’ll bring Current study in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline, ideally in the second‑to‑last year. Interest in industrial process engineering or water and wastewater treatment systems. Availability for 12 weeks of full‑time work. Curiosity, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset. Support & Development Interns are supported by a team leader, a buddy, and a dedicated early‑careers team. The program includes learning series, leadership development, and exposure to multiple career pathways.
