About the job: We’re looking for an experienced Water Technician to join our team in New Plymouth! This hands‑on role involves repairing and maintaining water reticulation networks across the area. You’ll work in supportive small teams completing reinstatement works and infrastructure upgrades, both scheduled and reactive. No two days are the same, and you’ll play a key role in delivering essential services to the community. What you’ll need: Ideally you will have 4+ years of relevant industry experience. Health & Safety focused. We need someone who is able and willing to participate in the on‑call and standby roster. You will need to be physically fit, health and safety focused and work well in a team as well as independently. A full class 1 license and an ability to drive a manual is also essential. Class 2 and WTR would be ideal A NZ Certificate in Infrastructure Works, Level 3 is advantageous, but not essential – if you’re a hard worker, we will help you to obtain this! All preferred candidates will be required to complete pre‑employment checks to the employer’s satisfaction. These checks include but are not limited to, Ministry of Justice criminal conviction report, medical assessment, and drug and alcohol testing.
