Village Activities & Events Coordinator

Permanent, Full-time role – 32.5 hours a week Great hourly rates, allowances & Staff benefits offered About the role We're looking for a positive, fun, self-directed, proactive, enthusiastic, outgoing and energetic team player to work alongside our residents at Edgewater Village in Pakuranga. You will organise and coordinate activities and outings for our independent living residents in the village. This is an exciting role making a difference in our residents' daily lives. Taskscould range from driving the minibus, toorganising an event, to decorating the venue for themed dinners. This role is working 32.5 hours week Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm ; however flexibility is required to work weekends from time to time, to fit around delivery of village events. Some of the great things you will be doing Contribute to the Village run calendar of events and organise functions & outings Proactively connect with community groups and organisations to find new and exciting activities. Contribute to the Village newsletters, flyers and social media posts Support the use of technology to enhance social connectivity, such as virtual events. Driving our Village bus and escorting residents on excursions Skills and Experience Required We are looking for a sociable, outgoing, creative thinker who can organise great events for our residents. Other things that will make you a great Social Coordinator: Full and clean full NZ Driver's License Current First Aid certificate - preferable but training can be provided Enthusiastic, creative, outgoing and can think outside the box. Customer focused & experience working with groups of older people Confident in preparing written material, posters, newsletters - with an eye for detail. Confident in MS Suite - Word, Outlook essential and other Apps desirable.
